This past weekend, in Miami, Florida, L.O.U.D. District, LLC (LD)was blessed to partner with Women in Radio to produce the inauguralWomen in Radio (WIR) Dinner. The event featured key game-changers in the Radio industry, on-air personalities, K. Foxx and Felisha Monet, and Branding and Programming director Jill Strada, sharing their journeys and insight on the radio industry.
“It’s hustle, confidence, balance, vision and intention, nothing is impossible” said Strada, a message that resonated with the women in the audience.
The crowd filled with women, and a few men, that traveled over 1,000 miles to be in Miami, for this inaugural dinner. Women in Radio is a forum for Women, in the radio industry to network with women in the same field, with the same drive, and the same doubts.
Meaghan Taylor founded Women in Radio in order to provide a reliable arena for women in radio and those aspiring to break into the industry, to develop themselves in their respective genre. It is a community constructed for women to bridge the gap and network. “We are better when we stick together,” says Meghan Taylor.
Women in Radio organization is inclusive of all on-air personalities, programmers, board-ops, producers, sales associates, administrative assistants, promotions executives, interns, and etc. The Inaugural dinner produced a number of opportunities for the guest’s to showcase their brands in front of key industry leaders who have shown interest in their product.
